Now that we’re playing Dead Island, it dawned on me what the intro reminded me of - an old Prodigy music video. I’m sure I wasn’t the first to think of it:
I won’t post the original Prodigy music video here but you can find it on youtube if you search for it. Definitely NSFW (good thing it’s the weekend then).

Now I don’t know if all of these people have actually gone on to download the game, but I thought I’d share there have been just shy of 100 people that have signed up on the Zombies Nibble, Bombs Be Quick website (99 at the time of this writing). Very exciting! If people like it, I do still plan to work on it to make it a full-featured game. Still looking for comments and suggestions too!

Who is in for some Kinect Star Wars (release date April 3rd)? That ad had me laughing. Star Wars kid was just ahead of his time…

The other day Betz was talking to me about The Simpsons Arcade Game, but all of a sudden it seems like there are so many choices…

For the Hitz fans and Blitz fans out there, I just read an article from yesterday that said a new Blitz game will be on Xbox Live Arcade in January, for $15 (1200 pts). Sounds pretty true to the original, although I’m not sure why they took out the elbow drops between plays.
I also recently found out that the Halo Anniversary maps are available separately as DLC (and then playable with Halo Reach), so I’ve been talking to Boz about potentially getting them that way, if I don’t go the full game route. The map pack also costs $15 to download. I’ll do it if other game nighters do it.
With a busy weekend ahead of us, anybody interested in a game night earlier in the week this week? Still looking for somebody to play the new RDR content, not to mention somebody to play Rage coop or Gears 3 coop on Insane.

Long time no post. I blame Florida, alleged “writer”. Boz shared this link with me the other day: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005WV6ZI8/ The price of the album has seemingly jumped up, but even if you just listen to the samples they provide it’s pretty cool. The only one I was disappointed by was the Super Mario Bros theme, but perhaps it’s because I was hoping for an epic orchestra version of the Mario Twins theme.
I just recently read about the latest free Red Dead Redemption DLC “Myths & Mavericks” and it makes me want to play RDR again. Might be a fun departure from a whole night of Gears, especially when Gears multiplayer starts to get frustrating… diggers can be fun, but when are they going to do the “No Shotguns” playlist? Anybody else still have their copy of RDR?

Anybody know how to get a PS2 game working online with the PS3? I did a few searches and found some promising leads but never found the step-by-step instructions I was looking for. I think I need to download free software from the PlayStation Store but don’t know where to browse or what to search for…

Time to get pumped up for game night. We’ve been playing more Gears than Halo as of late, but I thought I’d share what I thought was to be a pretty well-executed assassination…

Earlier today I went with a friend I work with, a pretty serious game collector in my book, to a game store south of Dallas. Most of my purchases were SNES cartridges; having not had the SNES as a kid, I wanted to try out games like Super Mario World, Final Fight and Star Fox. But I made one non-SNES purchase. I’ll write down my favorite feature and then you guess the game!
The Hunt: Players chase a running target throughout the map. Points are scored depending on how much damage is inflicted each time the target is hit. The more times the target is hit, the smaller it becomes. Players gain extra points by killing the target, but touching the target results in death!
